BECOME A MEMBER 

First Things First

We always offer a first class for free at SSCF. Therefore, the easiest way to get started with us is by simply dropping-in and joining a regularly scheduled class. This will give you an opportunity to meet some other members and check out our gym. If you are brand new to CrossFit, not to worry. If need be, one of our CrossFit certified coaches will modify the workout for you and spend extra time covering the movements of that day’s WOD (workout of the day). We advise showing up a little early for your first workout, so you can fill out our waiver and talk to a coach.

Next Step…Foundations

We require those new to CrossFit to attend a series of classes we call, Foundations. These consist of 3 one-on-one (or small group if you are joining with someone else) sessions that cover some of the basic movements and philosophies found in CrossFit. Foundations classes not only cover safety and technique, but are also an opportunity for the SSCF coaches and new members to get to know one another better. With regards to when we offer Foundations classes, we do our best to work with your schedule. Let us know what time of day, and day of the week, is ideal for you and we’ll make it happen.  If you already have CrossFit experience, you might be able to bypass Foundations altogether. Or, if it’s been a while since you’ve participated in CrossFit, we can always condense Foundations into 1 or 2 classes. This decision can be determined once you have an opportunity to sit down and talk with one of our coaches.

And Now The Real Fun Begins

Once you have completed your Foundations classes, you are now able to join any of our regularly schedule classes. You don’t need to sign up for a class time beforehand, or come at the same time every day. We realize life can get busy and having flexibility is a good thing. We offer plenty of class times each day, so hopefully you can find one that works for you.
